Friends of Cathays Cemetery is an amazing voluntary group who were set up with the aim of supporting maintaining the Cathays Cemetery site, share it’s history with the public and raise awareness of its importance through the public lectures it supports.
Friends of Cathays Cemetery (was formed in 2006) are active in looking after, explaining the history and establishing the cultural significance and social importance of Cathays Cemetery. Please get involved with their work and volunteer alongside and get to know your neighbours.
The last Saturday of (almost) each month start at 10am and you can spend an hour or two helping with pathways, green spaces and maintaining this beautiful site.
For those of you who like to put dates in your diary, the workdays in 2018 will be held on:

WALKING FOR HEALTH
As part of the Cardiff Walking for Health programme, the Friends organise a weekly walk around the Cemetery starting behind Cathays Library, top of Fairoak Road on Tuesday Mornings at 10.30am. The walks last approximately 1 hour.
All Lectures will be held in Room 0.31 in the John Percival Building, Cardiff University, unless otherwise stated.
All Talks are free to Members & Students, £2 for Non-Members, unless otherwise stated.
All Walks will start from the Chapels at the Fairoak Road Entrance, unless otherwise stated.
